Yesterday was Presidents Day in the US. For some it is just another meaningless bank/mail/school holiday. But there is much more to it than that.
Presidents Day is always the third Monday in February. And it is largely recognized as honouring George Washington (our 1st Presudent) and Abraham Lincoln (our 16th president). In a broader sense it is a way celebrate lives of all US presidents.
It is my belief that it should go father than that. It does not matter your party affiliation or whether you like the person who is presently in office. God calls us to respect those in authority.
As it says in Romans 13:1 – Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. (ESV)
The next time you want to speak against the President (or other authority), take a step back & pray for them instead. Prayer accomplishes more than grumbling ever will.
Amen! There is power in prayer.

True ma’am. Praying for our leaders is key. I believe God is the one above us all so it’s wise to report them to Him as well as state what we desire to see in them.

Amen! I agree with you. If more people took the time to pray instead of criticize maybe the world would be a better place.

We are supposed to be light in a dark world. Negativity is the opposite of light.
