Sometimes when the cold grey days of winter get the best of me, I wish to be a bear so that I can crawl in my cave made of quilts and sleep the winter away.
But then the sun comes out & my heart is joyous again.

The same could be said for our relationship with Christ.
When trouble comes we have two choices. We can either hide from our problems and hope that they go away or look to the Son to renew our joy.
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. – 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 NIV

Thank you Barbara for this post. I love the analogy of hibernating from the winter and from our problems. Also, enjoyed that scripture!

What a great comparison, I would love to hibernate under a warm blanket during the cold months, but I have to face the world, just like I do my problems.
