Excuses, Excuses

We can always come up with an excuse not to do something. For example:

Moses said to the Lord, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.” Exodus 4:10 NIV

In light of what we know about the life of Moses, was this a good excuse for ignoring God’s request? No, it was not. God chose Aaron to be His mouthpiece to the Israelites and to further Moses’ mission

You see, if God is calling you to do something, no matter how outrageous it seems at the time, He will give you EVERYTHING that you need to accomplish the task. As you ABIDE in Him, it becomes easier and easier to be obedient because your spirit is intertwined with His.

I encourage you to say YES to the Holy Spirit, TODAY!! No more excuses! Go on the adventure that has been planned for you. You will not regret it!

  1. God has been revealing to me over the last few years that He has an adventure planned for my future! I’ve only seen glimpses, but I’ve had others confirm these things. It’s scary and exciting and humbling, and I have to think that Moses was also feeling a combination of these things.
