Look at it this way; Jesus chose ordinary men to be His most trusted friends.
When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. – Acts 4:13 NIV
He didn’t seek out the best & the brightest. He didn’t search for the wealthiest or the most powerful. Instead, Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, chose to cultivate relationships with the ordinary, the marginalized, and the hated people of His day.
Dear reader, Jesus has a plan for your life. You don’t have to be a pastor or a missionary to have an impact on the lives of people in your life.
Jesus uses ordinary people to do amazing, life-changing things, every day!
It’s time to step out in faith and say “Speak, for your servant is listening.” – 1 Samuel 3:10b NIV

Amen, Barb! Jesus didn’t choose a bunch of famous folks to be His closest friends. Most of them were ordinary men and women. I get super ambitious, from time to time, and my wife tells me, “You don’t have to be a hero to be effective, David.” Blessings!
