My “Easter” Basket

How often can you find an activity that is fun for ladies from 5 – 85? The Women’s Ministry team at Mundy Naz is skilled at planning a variety of monthly events that will appeal to this broad audience.

I do enjoy a good craft night, especially when it includes fellowship with a bevy of godly women and yummy snacks.

In April, Libby introduced us to simple rope baskets. We may have all started out with the same supplies but watching how each lady’s personality was imprinted on her project was pure delight.

Some painstakingly labored to create an intricate pattern on a perfectly proportioned design. Others chose to only use a single color or utilize an odd shape. I went with red & grey in a purposely random shape.

Somehow, nobody remembered to take pictures. We didn’t even get a group photo. 😒 I guess that means we were having too much fun creating!

…“See, the Lord has chosen [them],and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills —to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood and to engage in all kinds of artistic crafts. And he has given [them] the ability to teach others. He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as engravers, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers—all of them skilled workers and designers. – Exodus 35:30b-35 NIV

What creative pursuits do you enjoy? Are you generally the teacher or the pupil?
