⏳️Answer Time ⏳️

Last week I asked for your questions. I hope that my responses help us to get to know one another a little better.

So without further ado…..

Alicia who blogs at For His Purpose said, “I love your foodie posts (and am maybe a bit envious of your restaurant choices in your neck of the woods)…what is your favorite restaurant and why? Sorry, that’s two questions but it makes it more interesting if you answer why.”

My favorite local restaurant is probably Around the Clock because they have the BEST Baked French Onion Soup with fresh sourdough bread,

LA who blogs at Waking Up on the Wrong Side of 50 asked, “What is your perfect Saturday?”

My perfect Saturday starts with prayer & scripture reading, accompanied by several cups of coffee. The rest of the day should be a balance of getting things done and spending time with family or friends for a movie or game night. We like to invite new people to our home about once a month for fellowship and a meal.

Matt from jesusluvsall asked, “If you could travel to any country in the world, which one would you choose and why?”

My husband & I plan to go to Norway to visit his ancestral homeland. He is only the second generation of his family that was born in the US.

David asked, “How do you like to write?”

If I understand the question correctly, he is asking about my “process”. I use my phone, tablet, laptop & PC to create new content. I tend to write and schedule posts as God directs me to so that I have things scheduled several days ahead. Once I start reading a book that I am going to review, I get the post set up and add to it as I read through the text. At other times, I start a draft with ideas that come to me. The draft may be completed later that day or even months later. Of course, for Five Minute Friday or other writing challenges the turnaround time can be much shorter.

Above all, I strive to only write and publish those things that God directs me to.

Tam, the author of CareBibleStudy, wondered, “Hey Barb! What does your morning routine look like for this summer?

During the school year, I get up between 3:30-4:00AM, usually without an alarm, in order to share a cup of coffee (or two) with Jesus, as I study scripture and pray.

BUT

Since the last day of school, God had let me sleep until around 5 o’clock. Starting with quiet time is a must if I want my day to go smoothly. Once I have had “enough” coffee I either head to the gym or work on my project(s) for the day.

Georgetta of Journey In His Word queried, “How many restaurants have you visited as a “foodie” and what are your favorite restaurant(s) and food selections?”

In the last year or so, I have published 34 “foodie” posts. This accounts for sixty-nine restaurants, food trucks, bakeries, and coffee shops. Wow, I had no idea it was that many. My favorite new food is Phở (a Vietnamese soup dish consisting of broth, rice noodles, herbs, and meat, with plenty of fresh bean sprouts, cilantro, and jalapenos to stir in). The best restaurant that we have visited is Ward’s House of Prime.

My friend Debbie wants to know, “Where are all the socks?”

If I knew the answer to that, I would be a gazillionaire. 🧦

Well, there you have it. Any surprises?

Until next time…
