The Sinister Seaside Murder:  Emma Lang Cozy Mystery Book 2) by Nelly Stein [REVIEW]

SYNOPSIS

Renovation dreams quickly become a nightmare. An argumentative building inspector is murdered at a small town bayside resort.

Emma Lang, a newly promoted manager, is excited to bring ‘The Pearl’, an old restaurant on the property back to life.

On a stroll to check on the remodeling progress, she finds a dead body near the construction site.

Emma’s sleuthing instincts kick in. She discovers the county employee, Dick Hatfield, was looking the other way on code violations to fatten his bank account.

The inspector’s notebook listed ‘dirt’ on Carl Dawson, a real estate developer. Emma has many suspects on her radar but knows he’s somehow involved and risks her life to prove it.

Outrageous antics from Emma’s Grandma Dorothy and her friends, infuse unexpected humor into this high-stakes hunt.

The resort’s reputation hinges on the restaurant’s success. But finding a corpse near its entrance does not help. If it fails, she fails.

Emma feels her guests and co-workers are in danger. She must solve the case before the murderer strikes again and destroys the heart of the resort!
