On August 8, 1988, I started the job that would literally change the rest of my life.

One short year later, I was faced with the decision to look for a new job or take the transfer to Chicago (Elmhurst), IL that HFC was offering me.

As I weighed the pros & cons of making the move, God made his thoughts on the whole idea abundantly clear.  Every TV show or movie I watched had a reference to Chicago in it somewhere.  A friend gave me tickets to a Cincinnati Reds game, and you guessed it, they were playing the Chicago Cubs.

The stress of my impending decision was giving me migraines for the first time in my life.  The minute that I said, OK God, I will go to Chicago, my headaches stopped & I was at peace.

Flash forward to 2019….

If I had not followed God’s lead, my life would be VERY different:

  1.   I would not have met and married, Michael, the love of my life.
  2.   I would not have my two amazing children, Mark & Rachel.
  3.   I probably would not be a jail/prison chaplain.

Sure, I missed out on some family things in Cincinnati & I sometimes long to be at Clear Creek Farm but I know without a doubt that I am where God wants me to be at this point in my life.

I thank all of you who have taken this journey with me.
