One Step Towards Healing

“Five year old AJ is missing.” I will never forget the first time I heard that phrase. In my heart of hearts, I knew that he would not be found alive. A few days later his broken body was discovered in a shallow grave, a few miles from his home.

Our community was in shock as details of the crime unfolded and AJ’s parents were arrested for the crime. This precious 5 year old, was murdered in his own home.

The house was subsequently boarded up. Today, the house was demolished and our community can finally begin to heal.
