When God shows me multiple things on the same topic, I know that He is either trying to teach me a lesson or He wants me to write about it. Today was one of those days.
First, I came across this quote on Wisdom for Living. “GOD IS NEVER CLUELESS, AND WHEN HE IS NOT MAKING ANY MOVE, IT IS NEVER AS A RESULT OF HIS INABILITY TO DO SO!” Did you hear that? God has the ability to do what He wants, when He wants & how He wants. He knows everything that is going on at all times.
This thought was reinforced by a passage from Psalms. LORD, you know the hopes of the helpless. Surely you will hear their cries and comfort them. Psalm 10:17 (NLT). God hears the cries of His people. He loves to give good gifts to His children. Those gifts include peace, joy, comfort and strength: all things that we need to weather the storms of life.
Take a look at the graphic below. Does it say. “God, always says, ‘Yes'”? No! Does it say, “God always answers right away”? No! It tells us that He ALWAYS answers in the way that is best for us in His perfect timing.

So my friends, in times of uncertainty and pain, we must wait on the Lord. In times of Joy and gladness, we must wait on the Lord. I am not saying this is easy. Patience has NEVER been my strong suit. My mother once told me that she knew I would never pray for patience; so she was doing it for me. I have grown a lot since then and I have learned the value of being patient with God and with the precious souls that he puts in my path.
Wait for the Lord;
Be strong and let your heart take courage;
Yes, wait for the Lord. – Psalm 27:14 (NASB)
This was a great post! I too suffer from wanting things to happen in my time but as you have learned.. god has taught me when I am patient and wait on him my situation turns out way better then if I had tried to rush it!

Like you, patience is not one of my strengths but God has been teaching me too over time and I realise that whenever I try and jump ahead of Him it is not the best for me. When I look back at answers that were No or those that came after quite a wait- it was the best although at that time it did not feel that way at all.
Blessings 😊💙

Great post! Days before the lockdown were like “instant coffee days”🤓 everyone seemed to be so busy with life; come lockdown, I hear the same question – why is God silent? 🙂 typical question! Just like you said when God makes us wait, He has something in store because He makes all things beautiful in His time!!

Thank you for your response. You’re right, those were the instant coffee days. I pray that some of the busyness of life never returns. I am sure there are things we can all eliminate from our lives.

A priest once said this, Gods NO! Is a protection. God knows the end of everything from the beginning. Such a powerful message BARB

It’s beautiful when we practice patience but it’s not always easy. Through the waiting God teaches us many things.
