To My Dear Ladies at McHenry County Jail,
It has been so long since I have been able to share the gospel & pray with you. I found out this week that we probably won’t be back together until the State of Illinois has completely reopened. I find myself thinking of the opening lines of “When Will I See You Again” (Three Degrees 1973) :
When will I see you again?
When will we share precious moments?
Will I have to wait forever?
Will I have to suffer (suffer)
And cry the whole night through?
If you find yourself crying yourself to sleep at night, reach out to Jesus. He is never more than a prayer away. I truly miss spending time with all of you & pray for you often.
When I am overwhelmed, you alone know the way I should turn. Psalm 142:3a (NLT)
Then I pray to you, O Lord. I say, “You are my place of refuge.” Psalm 142:5a (NLT)
Please keep praying for each other & studying the word until we can worship together again.
God’s Blessings on You, Chaplain Barb

The good thing is that you have been more than obedient and planted a seed in those women. Even though the season has changed they know because of your obedience. We continue to pray for them that God upholds and keep them although it seems as though your miles away.

Wondeful post. It shows how much you love and care for the women who you ministered to. You are certainly with them in the spirit. I love the song. Bless you.

Ty for visiting me on my blogs! You peaked, my interest here! I’m an ex-con I’ve visited my share of jails! lol But no more It used to be as a home to me but I don’t think I want to visit there again! Lol, I wish I could do what you do but I have my ministry here and due to the virus they don’t allow that here! I envy you though! Keep up the good work!

I haven’t been able to go to the jail since March. I live praying that we are able to resume the ministry soon. I truly miss spending time with my sisters behind bars.
