Kennedy Award of Excellence (x3)

The Kennedy Award of Excellence is a registered award of excellence for blogs through its writing, presentation and objectives. It fosters human values; promoting intellectual, emotional and moral growth of peers.

I am honored to have been nominated by THREE amazing bloggers. Each of them inspires me to be a better writer, a better person & most importantly to be bolder in my faith.

I want to thank MATT of Jesusluvsall who writes about his faith in Jesus, living with chronic illness, teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) & US citizenship to immigrants from many cultures. He also hosts a weekly online Blogger Chat where we discuss things such as building your audience, world events & of course our faith in Jesus. You can email Matt HERE if you would like to participate.

I want to thank BEVERLY of Becoming the Oil & the Wine. She is a published author who helps others decipher end-times prophecy and other complex Biblical concepts. Another of her passions is to help others to reach their full potential as a writer.

And last, but certainly not least, I want to thank DAWN of Drawing Closer to Christ. Dawn is also a published author. Dawn writes primarily about finding JOY each and every day by trusting in Christ and living out that faith boldly.

Please take the time to check out each of these blogs, blogger chat & other published works. You won’t be disappointed.

  1. The recipient may thank the person who has nominated them.

  3. The recipient may nominate as many blogs for this award (minimum five), but after careful thought.
  4. The recipient must answer questions from the nominee.

QUESTIONS TO BE ANSWERED:

1. When did you start blogging?

In late 2017 I started an exercise with some coworkers to write exactly 100 words on any topic for 100 days. I posted these on my Facebook page Barb’s 100 Words for 100 Days. It wasn’t until April of 2018 that I started officially blogging at My Life in Our Father’s World. Those original “100 Word” posts are located HERE.  Every once in a while I challenge myself to stick to exactly 100 words for a week or a month. Just to work on being more precise in my writing.

2. What is your blogging objective?

I strive to write what God tells me to write, when He tells me to write. If an idea comes to me & won’t let go, I know it’s time to get busy. I write about jail ministry, working with preschoolers, holidays & of course my faith in Christ.

3. What motivated you to start blogging?

During the 100 Words for 100 Days exercise some readers encouraged me to write longer pieces so eventually I .took the plunge & dove into blogging.

4. Do you see blogging as a long-term goal?

I really enjoy blogging & the blogging community that I am part of.  I will continue to blog until God tells me otherwise. It is, after all, His platform. He just uses my hands to do the typing.

5. Is there a specific topic you enjoy?

I am constantly amazed when God gives a bunch of us the same topic or passage of scripture and we all come at it in a way that is uniquely ours. What an exciting way to “study” The Word.

I invite any of my dear readers to participate in this exercise & share some of your favorite bloggers with me.

Thank you for reading, liking, commenting, reblogging & all the other ways that we interact in the blogiverse. I appreciate how each of you has impacted my life. 💗
