October is Pastor Appreciation Month. Before you bemoan that this is just another “Hallmark Holiday” let me illustrate that it is Biblical to show appreciation to your spiritual leader.
The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching. – 1 Timothy 5:17 NIV
Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you.Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other. – 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 NIV
For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisers. – Proverbs 11:14 NIV
How will you honor your pastor(s) this month? Send a note of encouragement? Take them out for a meal? Babysit their children? Acts of service like cleaning their house or car? A dinner at the church in their honor? The possibilities are endless. Be creative. Make it special.
Above all pray for them regularly & show them proper respect.

Thanks for this Barb. I do think it is so important to pray for them and encourage them. They do so much for us and the least we can do is show some appreciation.

Thanks for this graceful reminder ma’am. We also need to intercede for them. May His grace be ever sufficient unto them. 🙏
