This post is part of the Five Minute Friday blog link-up. It’s an opportunity to join up with a community of writers and bloggers of all ages and stages who gather around a single word prompt to free-write, unscripted and unedited, for five minutes.
When I hear the word fresh I usually think of things you can purchase at a farmers market like produce, flowers and baked goods. But today, I want to use this 5-letter adjective to talk about another 5-letter word, faith.
You see, spiritual growth does not happen when we let our spiritual practices (like prayer) get stale. How long has it been since you heard from God? If it has been a while, it’s most likely because you have been neglecting your quiet time. When we regularly spend time alone with God, he grooms us for our next calling and shows grace in unimaginable ways.
What are you going to do TODAY to make sure that your walk with Jesus does not grow stale?

When I hear the word fresh I think of fresh oil. If we stay in the press—pressing our way to Jesus, pressing our way no matter what the situation my look like. Press our way to keep our faith inspite of…Then our oil will be like that of an olive fresh and ready for the Maker’s use. Blessings and Peace.

Most mornings when I sit to read my Bible, I pray, :”Lord, show me something new in Your Word today.” He never fails to cause a word or a Scripture to stand out anew. Blessings!

My word of the year is FOCUS and I believe the Lord chose it for me, reminding me to focus on Him. To that end, I started a Gospel reading plan. There’s nothing stale there. I’m looking forward to what I’ll learn in the next couple of months. I think we might have been on Kate M.’s zoom call today. Nice to meet you.

I was not on the zoom call as I was traveling today. I look forward to hearing more of your FOCUS journey in the coming months.
