15k in February (5k at a Time)

In February, I did three 5ks. Due to ice, snow & extreme temperatures, two of them were done on a treadmill at the gym.

Bridgit’s Heart & Soul Virtual 5k – Benefited the American Heart Association
I found this one oddly ironic because of the weight-loss journey that I’m on.

AND THEN THE SUN CAME OUT

The movie Groundhogs Day was filmed in Woodstock, IL. So when I saw the medals for the Punxsutawney Phil 5k, I just knew that Woodstock would have to be my location for this “race”.

My friend Jennie & I have been trying to meet up in Woodstock to do this 5k since the end of January but the weather continued to be uncooperative. But God is good and this weekend the sun is shining & the snow and ice are melting.

Thanks for walking with me Jennie. The weather was perfect & I enjoyed the day!
