God has been working on my heart attitude as of late. You see, I tend to make snap judgements & put unrealistic expectations on myself and others. Both of these character defects can poison my realationships.
The worst part is when I allow these thoughts & feelings to color the way that I treat people. Fortunately, my Heavenly Father has chosen this season to do some drastic pruning. In the past I may not have even realized that my words or actions were causing harm. But now, God whispers in my ear as the negativity begins to surface and guides me to a more positive reaction.
I have a long way to go to be cured of this ailment but with God’s help I will come out on the other side as a more loving & grace giving woman.
Below are some passages that the Holy Spirit has pressed into my soul. May they speak to you today as well.
He will not quarrel or raise his voice in public. He won’t brush aside the bruised and broken. He will be gentle with the weak and feeble, until his victory releases justice. And the fame of his name will birth hope among the people. – Matthew 12:19-21 TPT
“Refuse to be a critic full of bias toward others, and you will not be judged. For you’ll be judged by the same standard that you’ve used to judge others. The measurement you use on them will be used on you. – Matthew 7:1-2 TPT
So then, surrender to God. Stand up to the devil and resist him and he will flee in agony. Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you. But make sure you cleanse your life, you sinners, and keep your heart pure and stop doubting. – James 4:7-8 TPT
If you bow low in God’s awesome presence, he will eventually exalt you as you leave the timing in his hands. – 1 Peter 5:6 TPT

It’s one of my favorite “pruning” scriptures—when experiencing it myself.

Thanks for your transparency! We are all a work in progress until Father God takes us home. In the meantime confession to Father is the beginning of healing and dependence on Him. The Word tells us to pray for another. Please pray for me and my daily walk and I will pray for you.🙏😊👣
