You (God) Complete Me

Pop culture teaches us that when we find the perfect person (our soul mate) we are now “complete”. Tom Cruise said it in Jerry McGuire & Keyshia Cole has a song about it!

But can another person REALLY complete you? No!

The Bible tells us that we can only be complete in a fully-devoted & ABIDING relationship with Jesus Christ.

Consider the following passages:

My flesh and my heart may fail, But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. – Psalm 73:26 NASB

“Son of man, take up a song of mourning over the king of Tyre and say to him, ‘This is what the Lord God says: “You had the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. – Ezekiel 28:12 NASB

And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and made Him head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. – Ephesians 1:22-23 NASB

Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let’s cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. – 2 Corinthians 7:1 NASB

And He gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ;until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. – Ephesians 4:11-13 NASB

Therefore leaving the elementary teaching about the Christ, let us press on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, – Hebrews 6:1 NASB

So, are you going to pursue your completeness in the arms of another person or in the arms of Your Savior.

I choose Christ!
