Each day of January participants are emailed a thought provoking question that can be turned into a blog post.
Where do you go when you need solitude?
This is an easy one!
Since I am a VERY early riser and we no longer have children at home, my place of solitude is most often my living room recliner with a cup of coffee and warm quilt.
Once I get situated, it’s time to crack open my prayer journal, a devotional or other faith-based book, and my Bible.
By starting my day in this manner I am better able to handle anything that comes my way.

When we lived in Michigan, I had a spot like that. It was (appropriately) the loveseat in the living room. During a season when I had been “too busy” to have my quiet time there, I was racing out of the house with the kids and noticed the light was on by the loveseat. I was convicted, realizing that Jesus had been there for me, even when I didn’t show up. 💔

Isn’t it wonderful that he gives us grace in those seasons?

Sounds lovely! 💜 When weather permits, I love to sit on my back porch, or my front porch….a car at the park lol.

Starting the day with prayer and verses really helps. 🙂 I really feel for people who don’t realize they can have that help and shalom from Him. So thankful for Him.
Have a beautiful weekend! 🙂
