As a WLS* patient, there are many things to learn in order to lose weight, once and for all. It is not a decision to be made lightly. One must ponder every life-altering, permanent change that is required to be successful.
Would you be willing to:
~ Excercise a minimum of 30 minutes 3-5 times per week
~ Drink at least 64 ounces of water per day
~ Weigh and measure everything you eat for the rest of your life
~ Take multivitamins, calcium, and antacids daily
~ Chew each bite at least 20 times
~ Wait 30 minutes after eating before you take a drink
~ Give up carbonated beverages – FOREVER
~ Give up alcohol and caffeine unless approved by your medical team
~ Prepare meals that are high protein, low fat, low carb (NOT KETO) and are no larger than ¾ -1 cup.
~ Consume no “white carbs” – highly processed foods that have been stripped of much of their nutrient value
~ Get your carbs from fresh fruit (not juice) and whole grains
~ Work with a dietitian and mental health professional to keep yourself on track
~ Ignore the people who say you took the easy way out
~ Have loose sagging skin in weird places
~ Deal with people will try to sabotage your progress
~ Realize that overeating or undereating can have severe consequences (such as dumping syndrome, vomiting, constipation, acid reflux, bowel obstructions, vitamin deficiencies, fainting)
Have you found honey? Eat only as much as you need, Lest you be filled with it and vomit. – Proverbs 25:16 NKJV

Wow that is quite a list and a big commitment! Of all these for me losing real coffee would be a bridge too far. 🙂 But seriously, you have my deepest respect. God bless Barb.
