Grace Covers: Worthy Bible Study – Romans 1-4 by Beth E. Steffaniak [REVIEW]

SYNOPSIS

If you want to know how to trust in Christ for salvation and/or live for Him, studying the first four chapters of Romans is one of the best places to start. In Grace Covers, you’ll traverse through these foundational chapters using the W.O.R.T.H.Y. Method to study and live out the Scriptures. But unlike some Bible studies, you won’t feel as if you are doing this alone or as a spectator! Beth Steffaniak, a biblical counselor and pastor’s wife, comes alongside you as your friend and fellow spiritual sojourner to study these Scriptures with you, challenging you to study them just as much as well.

Each day’s notes feature Beth’s own research-based studies and personal prayers, packed with practical-minded wisdom, vulnerability, and creativity. You will find yourself relating to the passages in a fresh and relevant way as you hear Beth share her own struggles and desires to live for Christ based on the day’s reading. You will also come to understand, apply, and pray the gospel message that Paul brings in Romans, all while learning how to study Scripture using the W.O.R.T.H.Y. Method.

Grace Covers is an immersive experience. Once you reach the summit at the end of this book, you will yearn to learn so much more from Paul’s life-transformational epistle to the church in Rome.

REVIEW

You will need a journal or notebook to engage fully with the W.O.R.T.H.Y. method.

I will admit that when I started this study, I thought the W.O.R.T.H.Y. method was too simplistic, but as we delved deeper into Romans; I saw the value of looking at each verse individually as it builds on those that have come before.

You make have noticed that this book only covers the first four chapters of Romans. There will be more books in the series. Part 2 of Romans should be out later this year.
