Love Is
Love is patient to slow its pace
And walk with us our street
Love is kind when it takes time
To wash our dirty feet
Love protects from angry waves
And trusts when we can’t see
And hopes in hours before sunrise
When shadows finally flee
After everything in us has fallen
Love still stays standing true
Believing the impossible
That we will make it through

Ducks and Eagles
Way up in the sky
Eagle soars all alone
Far from the mud below
Flying high in the blue
He thinks it is true
That he’s the best bird in the show
While down at the farm
Ducky waddles along
With his tribe by the edge of the stream
Leading them on
To the cool water’s edge
Where their dirty feet
Can be washed clean
Now that I your Lord and Teacher have washed your feet, you should also wash one another’s feet. John 13:14 NIV

Every Detail His Design
The Lord is my Shepherd. I have everything I need. Psalm 23:1 ESV
Drifts of snow on lonely hills
Pot-holed city streets
Blossoming of lilacs
Each keep their chosen beat
To the melody that God composed
Through slow and racing days
Each calling our attention
To His almighty ways
Yes – everything we need is ours
But not all things we would
Every detail his design
Of all things for our good

Love the first one on love.. but then I loved the duckies too! Maundy Thursday and the foot-washing is my favourite liturgy of the whole church year. What a lesson. Then he showed them the full extent of His love… Thank you for sharing all three.
