A Day at the Beach

A couple of hours at the Riviera Beach (Lake Geneva, WI) on the first 100⁰ day of the summer, was followed by a refreshing Cranberry Bacon Bleu Salad (with Raspberry Vinaigrette) from Culver’s before heading home for a shower and relaxing in the AC.

Devil’s Lake, Wisconsin

I first talked about this trip in Four Somethings (June 2022). We spent the day hiking and then grilled some locally made sausages with fresh pineapple. No, I didn’t take any pictures of our meal, we wolfed it down before I remembered. Suffice it to say, we enjoyed every morsel.

Crystal Lake Main Beach – Arte Gelato

Summers in Chicagoland are typically hot and sticky. Fortunately, the humidity has been low this year and beach days are pleasant. Our day at Crystal Lake Main Beach included a picnic lunch and a stop for gelato on the way home. We may or may not have taken the long-way home to get the gelato. I had pistachio and Connie had raspberry.

Jarosch – IKEA – Nana’s

On this day we stopped at the famous Jarosch bakery before a much-anticipated trip to IKEA. On the way home, we took a side trip to Nana’s for Italian Beef and a slice of pizza.
