My garden is sadly in need of water since I neglected to water it before heading out of town. 🛣️

The new grass is coming in nicely where the shed used to be. 🌱

Oh look, there are some ripe red tomatoes to harvest. 🍅

Trees look healthier when the dead limbs are removed and carted away. 🌳

  1. The paper shredder sits idly by, ready to destroy documents on demand.

    The digital alarm clock says 3:49 PM. Not so many folks use these anymore.

    My new running shoes sit in the box, waiting for me to break them in.

    A fluorescent pedestal light helps me see what I’m doing. Like the alarm clock, most folks have moved on to better tech—like LED’s.

  2. My wife have the TV on pause for hulu on a show xalled “don’t forget the lyrics” with 11 minutes to go.

    The cat is laying near by arms out stretched.

    My wife is busy knitting some cute bears on the couch.

    Trevor Nelson’s Rhythm Nation is playing some good tunes on BBC Radio 2 on my tablet, while I write these 4 sentences.

  3. I see the hazy frame of my glasses slid down on my nose emphasizing my need to see with discernment and not let things slide.

    I see the carved duck on the mantel of my fireplace and think how ducky it is that those of us who are being purified in the fire have our lives and ministries carved out by the mighty hand of God.

    I see the picture on the wall over the fireplace of my beautiful daughter as a bride dressed in white reminding me that we’re going to be without spot and blemish.

    I sense the Spirit’s leading to look at the shoes on my feet, reminding me of the brand name: “Easy Spirit.” Oh yes, we’re called to walk in the ease and flow of God’s Spirit.
