Patterns, Habits & Routines…Oh My!

I haven’t participated in Five Minute Friday in quite a while; however, today’s prompt (PATTERN) screamed to be acknowledged.

If you are like me, your life is ruled by your daily routines. Am I right?

  • Coffee
  • TAG (Time Alone with God)
  • Get ready for work
  • Work (has it’s own routines)
  • Home
  • Dinner
  • Bed
  • Repeat

Whether you call it a routine, habit, or schedule, what you are doing every day is following a particular PATTERN.

Does your PATTERN leave room for God?

Do you tell yourself that God knows how busy you are , so He will understand if you only pray when there is a crisis?

How many hours have you spent reading novels or scrolling social media instead of immersing yourself in God’s Word?

One thing is clear to me, the only way that I will truly experience RENEWAL in 2024 is to maintain a PATTERN of daily prayer and Bible Study.

  5. My morning time is a pattern established some time ago. When I miss it due to scheduled appointments, it throws my whole day off. I am so lost without my morning devotions and coffee 🙂
