Cooler temperatures mean that the windows are open and the curtains are blowing in the cool breeze. 🪟

A photo album on the coffee table is full of pictures of my firstborn son as a baby; he’s all grown up with a child of his own now. 👶🏼

The books on my side table are begging to be read and reviewed…hmmm, which one do I choose? 📚

The cats are in the window enjoying the breeze, and my iced coffee is nearly gone. 🥤

  1. listening to small pumps, hissing of a nebulizer, and a suction tube bedside in ER. white sheets and pillows cushion her well with her ragged breathing-me willing- helping each breath.

    a cart full of drawers hides an arsenal of medical tools, just out of sight, but handy

    a nurse apologizes for creating more pain with nurturing promises for the future.

    she seems cold so I slide a blanket up gently, sit back down and understand I am not enough. Is anyone?
