The political climate in the US is volatile right now. I don’t know how else to describe it!
It does not matter what your political views are. What does matter is that you exercise your right to vote. If you do not vote, you give up the right to comment on the outcome.
The issues have caused division in neighborhoods, families, and, yes, even churches. I am not writing to tell you how to vote or even who I plan to vote for. No, my purpose today is to remind us all that regardless of our differences, all people are loved by God. Therefore, we must treat others like the treasured child of God that they are. In the coming weeks, each of us will come across people who have BIG feelings about the outcome. I am asking you, or should I say, begging you to stay out of any political arguments. Let us stand united as followers of Christ. Allow others to celebrate or grieve freely without backlash from you or me.
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him – I John 4:4-9 NIV
I pray that God’s will be done. I trust that He remains in control regardless of who is in the White House.

There are brothers and sisters in Scotland and across the UK praying for you, and your nation today. May God’s grace and will be done. 🏴🙏🇺🇸

I also pray for God’s will to be done. I don’t argue about politics, but pray that Christians will seek the wisdom of God and then vote. Blessings, Barbara! 💕 🙏

On another note, I will come back later and read some of your book reviews. I see that you have reviewed some of the books I’ve read. I read every night when I go to bed. I love Christian authors who write historical fiction, especially from the Civil War era or from the WW2 era. Blessings, Barbara!

Looking back over the last few days, I am more sure than ever that sometimes we need to tread lightly or keep our mouths all together. I’d rather keep my opinion to myself than hurt someone that I care about.

Everyone is essential and necessary, regardless of our differences, let the Lord be our King and primary decision.

We need to respectfully stand up for what is right, like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, but leave the results to God. He has a plan, even if it does not line up with our plans. Regardless of the outcome, To God Be the Glory.
