A Berry Pie for Christmas by Adelaide Mitchell  [REVIEW]

SYNOPSIS

The Waverleys set out on their favorite Christmas tradition:  picking berries for the holiday pie. When their journey veers off course, they ask God for direction. They are guided to a cottage where they meet William, a kind but lonely man. As Christmas Day
nears, the Waverleys are about to discover why God allowed them to lose their way.

Complete with cozy illustrations, this Christmas book reminds us that love and togetherness are the best ways to celebrate Jesus’s birth.

REVIEW

This is the sweetest faith-based Christmas story I have ever read. I will be purchasing extra copies once they go on sale later this month.

I received this book free from the author, publisher, or other source. My only obligation is to provide a fair and honest review.

The Author – Adelaide Mitchell

Adelaide is an English teacher who loves telling her sons stories before they fall asleep. This book was born of one of these bedtime stories. Henry, Amos, and Roger helped Adelaide turn this oral story into the book you hold today. They wrote it as a surprise for Andrew, their beloved husband/ father. The Mitchells live in central California and have two border collies, Lucy and Annie, whom they love very much.

The Illustrator – Aspen Gage

Based in Central Alabama, Aspen’s art is inspired by literature, nature, and home. Her passion is bringing classic stories, beautiful places in the world, and the ineffable comfort of “home” to life through watercolor and pen and ink. Her goal with her work is that it would be her ministry, a personalized way of bearing fruit. It is her hope that if a piece of work that she does is not strictly Christian, it would still glorify God as much as possible.
