SYNOPSIS
Two workplace rivals, one competition. But can he win her heart?
Charity Griffith has her eyes on the prize. The prize of her workplace competition that is. If she wins, she can afford the house renovation needed to accommodate her mom’s lost mobility. She will not be distracted—especially not by the handsome new coworker bent on getting under her skin. There’s no way his attention is sincere, even if his pesky emails tempt her to wish so.
Ben Halverson is back in his Michigan hometown after leaving a trail of mistakes behind him. His goal is to find himself again and find God—not a woman. The icy sales manager who works beside him at his new job is begging to be teased, but if she knew the truth about him, she’d misjudge him like everyone else, including his family.
What Ben needs is independence. That workplace grand prize would go a long way toward his dream of owning a home. But when he falls for his biggest rival, he has to choose which matters, winning the competition—or winning Charity’s heart.
If she’ll even give him a chance. And that remains to be determined.
Hugs and Kisses, Charity is the prequel to the Scripted Love series, a Christian romance series set along the shores of Lake Michigan. Join the Halverson siblings as they grow their faith and find love through the written word. Each title can be read as a standalone.
REVIEW
We all have a past. Fortunately, God is good at redeeming the lost and bringing about something beautiful.
I received this book free from the author, publisher, or other source. My only obligation is to provide a fair and honest review.
It sounds good. From the summary, I think Charity’s motivation for winning is much better than Ben’s.
