Hello Dear Readers,
I enjoy reading and reviewing books, especially those written by fellow bloggers and personal friends. However, in the last year or so, my blog has become more about book reviews and less about sharing My Life in Our Father’s World.
I’m not sure how I got so far off track. Maybe I was worn out from all the papers I was writing for school. Maybe I took my 2025 WOTY, flexible, a bit too far. Maybe I spent too much time reading the work of human writers rather than immersing myself in God’s Word.
Today, I make a vow to myself, my readers, and to my Heavenly Father. My blog will once again be about My Life in Our Father’s World. I will share the lessons I learn about loving God and others in a regular and consistent manner.
I also promise to be more active within this blogiverse. I know I have missed much of your wisdom in my absence.
In Him,
Barb
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:37-39 NIV
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV

Blessings, Barb, as you balance your busy life! Thank you for all you share. 💞💐🙏

Thanks Barb. I never thought of that verse in light of flexibility, but that is a perfect fit!

Thanks Barb, for your message here. That verse in Philippians puts things in perspective and always touches my heart, especially this morning. I can certainly relate as I’m sure you can also. It’s a marathon and not a sprint, as is said. Yet the Lord Jesus is always there, sharing His heart, and giving us whatever we need regardless of circumstances. Blessings to you and yours going forward.

Thanks for sharing this. Flexible is a good word of the year. Mine is receive. I have found the need to be flexible with my blogging schedule over the years.

Yes, and I didn’t realize that it can be hard to receive at times, especially as it relates to God’s rest and peace.
