On his laptop, he browses WordPress, reading and liking all the amazing posts shared by some truly special people.
His phone sits nearby, playing worship music. Casting Crowns, MercyMe, Chris Tomlin, Zach Williams and he sings along, lifting his heart in praise to the Lord.
He admires his purple heart plant, which has grown from a tiny stick into a sprawling desk companion, and wonders where in the house he can move it so it can thrive even more.
He watches his wife take down the Christmas tree lights after he removed the ornaments, feeling a little sad that the twinkling lights will soon be gone.

I can’t have plants anymore. My cats dig them up. They ruined my Christmas cactus. I put both red & white in the same pot and was beginning to get some pink blossoms down the middle.

I’ve always had the worst luck keeping plants alive. I have two right now. One is barely hanging on, while the other is growing beautifully. I’m clearly doing something wrong with the struggling one, but no matter what I try, it just won’t grow or stay green.
