It seems that many bloggers are jumping to Substack.
I have set up a profile to see what all the fuss is about.

I am not able to reply to chats or direct messages for the past month or so, (one of the things I liked about it) but can react with an emoticon. This appears to be from what I have determined because it is asking for a phone number or to use the app (neither of which I am prepared to do).
However, I can reply and comment on notes, posts, and restacks. I think you will like it! ~ Rosie

I’m trying to figure out how to cross-post between WP & Substack without having to do it manually. So far I have not found an easy way.

You are Right. I did and do it manually both – to bring over the existing content (I only had this year, still it took awhile – just finished it in Jan.)
And I do it with each post by creating it in both places and then scheduling them to post at the same time if I’m posting the same content.
Some use the RSS feed, but I did not just because I couldn’t figure it out. That may have been easier!

I’ll have to look into RSS. I have never used it.

I never heard of it. Is it just like WordPress?

To me it feels more like a “normal” social media platform with a bit of WP added in.
