Life is Better with Harmony #FMF

This week’s Five Minute Friday prompt is HARMONY

<><><><><><><><><><>

Two things come to mind when I think of the word HARMONY.

The first is beautiful music. The sound created when two or more sounds of different pitches are combined brings forth a range of human emotions.

The second is the harmony of the Gospels. Some look for the ways that Matthew, Mark, Luke & John contradict each other. The truth is that the Gospels tell the same story from four distinct perspectives. The scriptures in their entirety are one story that points the reader to a relationship with Jesus. Instead of drawing the parallels myself, I searched the internet for a chart that would do so for me. For more details, follow the link below the chart.

    • Good point, Pastor Pete. And, sometimes, just one note in a chord is a half-step too high or low. The musical term for this is a “suspension.” When the suspended note resolves—moves higher or lower to resolve the chord—true harmony results.

  1. I love good blue grass harmony or in any music really. I like how you address the four gospels as harmony. It is a faith builder when you see the harmony is the Word. Good post.
