This week’s Five Minute Friday prompt is TIMING.
<><><><><><><><><><>
One thing I have learned is that I can make all the plans I want, but if God isn’t in them, my plans will go awry.
Said another way, ” If you want to hear God laugh, tell Him your plans and ask Him to join you.”
It can be excruciating to wait patiently for an answer to prayer. God always answers our prayers, but the answer is not always a simple yes. Sometimes He says, “No”, and sometimes He says, “Not yet”. When I look back at all the times I had to wait on the “not yet” to become “now is the time”, I realize that God’s timing was perfect. Every. Single. Time.
Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:30-31 NIV
Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. – Psalm 27:14 NIV
But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. Galatians 4:4-5 NIV
So, dear reader, I encourage you to STAY the course and wait on God’s perfect timing.

“STAY the course and wait on God’s perfect timing..” the perfect word for me😅 thankyou

It warms my heart when my words (aka God’s message) touches someone else.

Yes, I totally agree Barb, God’s timing is definitely not our timing & that’s a very good thing when we see the final outcome!
For He knows the beginning from the end, we don’t & so often in our naivety our timing would not have had the blessed outcome like God’s.
Visiting from Lisa’s WOTY linky today. 😊

That is the truth.
Loved “One thing I have learned is that I can make all the plans I want, but if God isn’t in them, my plans will go awry.” That is something I have learned as well.

Yes, I can also testify that God’s timing has always been perfect, no matter how impatient or anxious I was while waiting on him. Good reminder to practice patience! Sorry I’m so late in responding to last week’s FMF

I’m so grateful in hindsight that God sometimes said No to my requests and some He said ‘not yet’.
It helps with patience when we trust Him!
