A weekend project calls me from the kitchen table. 📦🖇️📜
Shoes are lined up against the wall instead of the closet, where they belong. 🩴👞👟🥾🥿👠🩰👢👡
My husband goes in and out through the sliding patio door while making our lunch on the grill. 🚪🍔
I have switched to iced coffee on this hot day, but somehow our cats still prefer to slee[ in a heap.☕🐈🐈⬛🐈

Are you ready to give it a try?

And interesting idea.
And the number 162!! That was the first thing I saw in your photo.

As I sit here with my laptop, the foot wraps are buzzing and giving off heat in an attempt to help alleviate whatever has been happening to my feet these days. Next to me is a tall, insulated cup with a drink that’s a mixture of hydrating solution and red drink made from the juice of certain “superfoods,” presumably to get me hydrated and energized. My exercise mat (beach towel) and neck support “wave,” which I’ve already used today, sit in the corner as a testimony that, contrary to what I used to think, it turns out I’m not “low maintenance.”

Oh the things we go through in an effort to pretend we are still young. 🙃😉

Dear hubby’s right foot hanging off the end of his recliner.
My right foot resting on the coffee table.
My fairly new (why does it keep leaking?) insulated water bottle sitting on the side table.
Sunlight streaming through the transom windows illuminating our day.

Sorry about the leaky water bottle. Sunlight through transom windows provides unique patterns of light.

There’s plenty of mulch in the front flower bed, next to the front porch.
Dozens of maple tree seed pods have helicoptered themselves nearby.
The sun is millions of miles away, but its light just broke through the clouds, warming my right side.
There’s also a cool morning breeze here in Albany, NY.

The sun is one of those created things that baffles the mind. It is a ball of fire whose light travels through the coldest darkest space, but when it enters our atmosphere it becomes heat & light again. 🤯

A simple yet creative exercise that turns everyday surroundings into small moments of observation. It beautifully shows how ordinary details—objects, habits, and quiet routines—can become meaningful when we pause and notice them. A lovely reminder that inspiration is always close to us.

Greetings Barb. You caught me at a coffee shop . . . again!
My coffee cup of deliciousness is almost empty. The wall mural above me adds some inspiring artwork. My ever-present writing notebook is waiting for me to add something. Lastly, I cannot find a thermometer, but this place is just a tad bit too cool.

I think they keep coffee shops cold so that we drink more coffee ☕
