Faith and Family: Outcomes Beyond Soccer Matches #FMF

This week’s Five Minute Friday prompt is OUTCOME

<><><><><><><><><><>

My daughter played soccer* for five years or so. Other than that, I would not consider myself a soccer fan. However, the popularity of the 2026 FIFA World Cup has caused me to check on the OUTCOME of several matches. I check the stats mostly because of the people in my life who are cheering for their favorite team. Will I remain a soccer fan after the World Cup? Probably not. But it has been fun to watch things unfold over the last few weeks.

Will the OUTCOME of this popular sporting event change my life? I doubt it.

Nevertheless, there are things in my world that have eternal implications. My daily prayer is that my children and grandchildren will continue to grow in their faith and spread the love of Jesus wherever they go. That is an OUTCOME to be proud of.

“…Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” – Mark 16:15 (ESV)

*Yes, I am aware that most of the world uses the term football instead of soccer.
