WOW, is the first word that came to mind when I first looked through the NIV Study Bible, Fully Revised Edition that I received from Bible Gateway to review.
This is hands-down the best study Bible that I have ever seen!! Therefore, it has taken me a while to figure out where to start with my review.
Things I love about the NIV Study Bible, Fully Revised Edition:
- Red Letter
- The detailed introductions to each book
- The timelines
- Full-color pictures and maps
- Each book is also identified by the type of book (ie history, poetry, prophets etc.)
- Plenty of cross-references
- The symbols (trowel, seedling. character) help identify items in the study notes & elsewhere
- The concordance
- It lays flat on the table for easy study
If you are looking for a new study Bible, the NIV Study Bible, Fully Revised Edition should be at the top of your list!!

Wow Barbara….seems like a good Bible ….maybe someday….I was hoping to find a Bible or even something that arranged the four gospels together merged into a single sequence ….like a timeline….I know I’m not saying it right….but I hope you understood…..do you know if something like that exists?
I have a GNT …like most Catholics who hail from Mumbai. It’s been with for more than 20 years now….I have so many scribbles and markings and notes….its not for the neat folks. I understand it’s not preferred anywhere else ….this version….but I’m so used to it….I dont think I can change it now…..In the city I presently live in, nobody has heard of a GNT so I’m always an odd member in any prayer circle….I enjoyed this review Barbara…thanks for posting…..I’m a bit tempted🤩😍🤩😍🤩

A couple of years ago I used Bible Gateways sequential reading plan. It combines things in order of how they happened. Pretty cool
