How Are Your Eyes?

Do you see ALL things clearly? I am not talking about your physical eyes. I am talking about the type of things that you focus on.

Do you focus on spiritual or worldly things? Sometimes the difference is very subtle. The evil one enjoys using seemingly “good” things to turn our eyes away from Jesus.

I recently watched a video from Donna Partow entitled “Supernatural Eye Surgery”. It addresses this topic head on. I have included the key scriptures from that lesson.

“fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God“. – Hebrews 12:2 NIV

“Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy, your body also is full of darkness.” Luke 11:34 NIV

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”Galatians 5:22-23 NIV

“He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’… “She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. but Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”, “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:27, 39-42 NIV

Now about food sacrificed to idols: We know that “We all possess knowledge.” But knowledge puffs up while love builds up.” – 1 Corinthians 8:1

“Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy, your body also is full of darkness.”Luke 11:34 NIV

One thing I ask from the Lord,
    this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
    all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
    and to seek him in his temple.
“- Psalm 27:4 NIV

But my eyes are fixed on you, Sovereign Lord;
    in you I take refuge—do not give me over to death”.
Psalm 141:8

“Let your eyes look straight ahead;
    fix your gaze directly before you.”
Proverbs 4:25 NIV

“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18

When you realize that negativity is sneaking in, stop immediately and say OUT LOUD , “in the name of Jesus I demand that all negative and evil forces leave this place right now!!” You have to say it out loud because Satan cannot read your mind!

  1. Excellent verses! I keep thinking of the old song we used to sing in church:”Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face. And things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.” When we keep our eyes on Him, nothing in this world can keep us down. 😊
