WHEN DO YOU OPEN GIFTS?
My family always opened our gifts on Christmas morning. My husband’s family did it on Christmas Eve. So when we had our kids we compromised.
After church on Christmas Eve, we drive around looking at the lights, have chili dogs & open gifts (from the family). The evening is topped of with banana splits.
On Christmas morning we open our stockings & gifts from “Santa” & then share in a breakfast casserole & cinnamon rolls.
PEOPLE
Christmas is meant to be spent with those you love. That being said, we have shared Christmas with many different people over the years (family, friends, & college roommates just to name a few).
CELEBRATING JESUS
I love Christmas Eve candlelight services or reading the Christmas story around the fire with steaming mugs of hot chocolate (or coffee) & a slice of Jesus’ birthday cake.
I invite all of my fellow bloggers & readers to play along. Feel free to respond in the comments instead of creating a post of your own.
Nice lists. And congrats on the tag, ma’am. 🤗
I love the song list. Noel and Silent night are my favorite. 😊

Indeed, Christmas is filled with many favorite family traditions and memories. Being empty nesters for some time, my wife and I still enjoy decorating our Christmas tree, with ornaments gathered over many years. There are many blessed memories recalled as we finish the tree.

It’s a tradition that my husband’s father started when they were little.
