I sat down to write but my mind is blank.
I’m disappointed.
I wait weeks for a package to arrive, but it is lost in transit.
I’m disappointed.
I bake a cake for my husband’s birthday but it’s raw in the center.
He’s disappointed.
My son worked hard to complete college, but a global pandemic cancelled graduation.
He’s disappointed.
My daughter was scheduled to for field study in an ESL classroom, but COVID-19 canceled classes.
She’s disappointed.
We spend all weekend working on a jigsaw puzzle, but there are a couple of pieces missing.
We’re disappointed.
God earnestly tries to get our attention, but we ignore Him.
He’s very disappointed.

That last line sums it up Anita and Corinne. We always have a caring God waiting for us, but we need to notice God on the regular to receive the help. Not just when we really need it. Super timely for me

Wow, great twist at the end. Yes, we need to get the “divine perspective” from time to time. Every time I’ve been hurt, if I think about it, God had been treated the same way by someone – usually me. 😥

I love how you’ve focused on something other than our disappointments. Yes, we often disappoint God and yet He waits patiently for us.

Delayed packages. We had three presents arrive weeks after Christmas. That disappointment is nothing compared to the Lord’s disappointment when we focus on what we don’t have, instead of what we do–Him. Great post.

I finished a puzzle a month ago that also had a missing piece. It was quite disappointing! But that was minor; I’ve had more serious disappointments this past year as well. Thanks for reminding me I’m not alone, and that we still have reason to hope again, always.

Reading this, I believe you are a poetic soul! Very good…God is always waiting for us at the end of the day, or wherever we happen to be. He loves us through it all…He is ALWAYS the missing piece of the puzzle. When we get lost or can’t find our way in any given situation, there He is, our Heavenly Father, telling us we are already whole, already complete, because of His great love for us.
