From the website:
We are proud to announce that the Care4 Breast Cancer 5K Run/Walk is back on for 2021 at Woodstock North High School! Participate at the live, in person event on Sunday, October 17th OR participate VIRTUALLY anytime between 10/9-10/17!
While we are thrilled to be able to celebrate all together this year, we are committed to making sure all of our participants are safe and healthy so the Care4 may look a little bit different.
Together, let’s spread the Care4 message far and wide- making sure that EVERYONE has access to early screenings and diagnosis, preventative care and breast health education! Early diagnosis is key to survival and without health insurance, early detection may not happen. Uninsured women were nearly 2.6 times more likely to be diagnosed with a later stage of the disease. With your support, we can change that and give everyone access to quality health care!
All proceeds support Family Health Partnership Clinic’s Breast Cancer Fund and provide breast cancer screenings, early intervention & education to the uninsured men and women of McHenry County. FHPC is celebrating 25 years of Caring4 our community.

I chose this event for several reasons:
- Breast cancer runs in my family.
- I have had annual screenings (and a few scares) since I was 30.
- Early detection saved the lives of three women who I love very much.
- FHPC was there for us when we were struggling financially
