After church on Sunday, those that were able gathered for our first ever prayer walk. What a wonderful time of prayer and fellowship we had as we walked and prayed for our neighbors. Along the path were signs for specific areas of prayer.
- How can our congregation impact our community?
- Pray for those that live in the neighborhoods surrounding the church
- Pray for the students in the high school. next door as well as the other schools in town.
- What bridges can be built as we continue to engage our community?
It was a little damp and chilly but I can’t think of a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

“Every time I walk the trail behind the church I think “man we should do a prayer walk”. Today we did just that!! I’m so proud of our church family for taking time to this today… and braving the cold!!” – Pastor Ryan
“Thanks to all those who participated in our church prayer walk! They braved the winter weather and walked Leo Leathers Trail. They prayed over homes, a park, our local high school, and our neighbors right around our church! – Mundelein Naz Facebook Page
“Build homes, and plan to stay. Plant gardens, and eat the food they produce. Marry and have children. Then find spouses for them so that you may have many grandchildren. Multiply! Do not dwindle away! And work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, for its welfare will determine your welfare.”
Jeremiah 29:5-7 NLT
Beautiful pictures of your church’s experience. Just being outside the four walls of a church seems to change how we pray and what we ask for.
