This ornament speaks volumes about the global pandemic world we are living in. How many times have you heard someone say, “You’re on mute.” during a virtual meeting Due to forced quarantine and social distancing, I believe that all of us have experienced feelings of isolation and loneliness.

BUT…I have some good news for you, There is someone who is ALWAYS available and loves you more than is humanly fathomable. His name is Jesus and He desires to have an intimate relationship with you….RIGHT NOW!
All you have to do is acknowledge your need for redemption, open your heart to His healing touch and pray:
Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name. Amen. – Billy Graham
NOW WHAT?
I was asked to provide the devotional for the Women’s Ministry Christmas Party with a promise that I would be given the topic at a later date. Instead of waiting to be given the topic I offered to talk about the spiritual transformation that comes with selecting a word-of-the-year (WOTY).

I give all of the credit for this transformation to God. After all, He is the one who provided the words and the experiences that shaped my growth.
I only had a few minutes to speak so I had to focus on the high points that I have experienced over the last couple of years. Having an attitude of gratitude in 2020 and learning to abide in 2021 has drastically changed my outlook and how I interact with others.
I created a journal to help others discover their own WOTY and engage with God in a whole new way. If you would like a PDF copy send me a message HERE.

In 2022 my focus will be encouragement. I would love to hear about your journey.
It’s been an inspiration following your journey this past year, Barb. There is an openness, a certain transparency in your writing that is empowering. And you make it obvious that this power comes from God.
I’ve adopted a WOTY before, but never revisited and reenforced like you have. In fact, I told you my word for 2022 the other day, but now I can’t remember what it is!

I’m humbled by your words David.
I don’t remember what you told me your word was. I don’t even remember if it was on my blog, your blog or someone else’s.
I know that is no help at all. 🤣
I’m praying that God will bring it back to mind 🙏

Steadfast. That’s what my WOTY is! If not, it will be now. Thanks, Barb.
