SYNOPSIS
In recent years I have chosen a different translation to use during my personal study & quiet time. For 2022, I chose ESV.
The English Standard Version is an English translation of the Bible. The ESV was published in 2001 by Crossway, having been “created by a team of more than 100 leading evangelical scholars and pastors.” The ESV relies on recently published critical editions of the original Hebrew and Greek texts. REVIEW
I love that individual books of the ESV are available in digital format. I also want to thank my friend Stephanie for reading through this book with me. It was helpful to have someone with whom to discuss the daily lessons.
I also realized that I need to spend more time in this book as it speaks to me in ways that no other book does (except maybe James 😉).
I love the ESV and trust it as one of the best translations though the poetry of the Psalms is sometimes better reflected in the King James (or New King James). Have a blessed weekend, Barb!
