Yesterday I went looking for the difference between facts and opinions. The classroom graphics below do an excellent job of making the distinction.

How often do you employ the use of opinion (yours or someone else’s) instead of cold hard facts? Which is easier?
In fact, no matter how learned a person is, most of what they say is still based on their opinion. Right? Is this merely my opinion or is it a fact.
OR…
Am I illustrating the point that we need to be careful what we listen to and how we express things to others?
As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. – Romans 14:1 ESV
A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion. – Proverbs 18:2 ESV

One of my husband’s pet peeves is people saying, “It’s a well known fact that…” followed by something that hasn’t been proven at all. 🤨
