Justification for wrongdoing is often explained away, with the accused claiming “He made me do it” or “I had no choice.” In reality, they are saying they regret allowing somebody to entrap them.
My friend, scripture tells us, “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. – 1 Corinthians 10:13 ESV“.
This passage illustrates that God is ready, willing, and able to rescue us from the grip of sin. BUT we have to humble ourselves, acknowledge our struggle, and ask for help.
God is a gentleman. He will NEVER force His will on anyone. So the next time you feel trapped by sin, pray.
Pray often.
Pray fervently.
Pray in secret.
Pray with a trusted friend.
Pray, trusting your Heavenly Father to respond at exactly the right time.

Amen! The first step is admitting we need saving. It’s not always easy, though, because we often justify our sin by classifying it and comparing it to others’ sins.
