We all experience times in our lives when we feel like we are walking in the desert alone. No matter what we do things don’t seem to get better. We may even tell others that we think God has forgotten us or He is punishing us for some egregious offense.
Take heart, dear reader, you will never be forgotten or ignored by your Creator. He has planned for your life since before time began and longs to have an intimate relationship with you. Yes, we all experience times in the desert; times when we are tired, lonely and in pain. Even Christ spent 40 days alone in the desert. Matthew 4:1-11
If you currently wandering in the desert, search your heart for any sin or rebellious habits in your life that may have brought on this temporary season. Pray, seek wise counsel and take the necessary steps to repair your broken relationship. If God has asked you to do something, DO IT! Disobedience equals unbelief. I know that sounds harsh. However, once you have given your life to Christ, the only thing that is asked of you is to trust and obey. We all have times of doubt, but we can’t stay there. Ask God to help you in your unbelief. Mark 9:23-24
Or maybe Isaiah says it better.
The Lord will guide you always;
he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail. – Isaiah 58:11 NIV
💕💕For certain My harvest will be ‘a-plenty’ if God does my watering this spring!!😂🤣🙃

Barb, a great post, and such good reminders. Don’t apologise for speaking truth. We all need to hear it. I love those verses from Isaiah. I’ve been in Isaiah for months and hadn’t noticed those. I will be colouring them in. Thanks for sharing. Your FMF neighbour, at #28 this week.

Well said, Barb. God walks with us, even when we can’t sense His presence, He is still there. Like Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble, but take heart I have overcome the world.” 🙏May God continue to bless your blog ministry.

Yesterday was quite a day,
and mercy I was needing
to find a protocol and way
that we might stop the bleeding,
but that has not happened yet,
and I am in a dreadful state;
folks who watch are gonna bet
that it’s too little and too late,
but there’s a hole card up my sleeve
that is yet to be played,
and I’ll continue to believe
that God has come, and stayed
in the game as He has planned
to win big in the final hand.

Good encouragement in this post Barb..reminds me of the Psalms.
And such important truth to remember:
“Disobedience equals unbelief. I know that sounds harsh. However, once you have given your life to Christ, the only thing that is asked of you is to trust and obey. We all have times of doubt, but we can’t stay there. Ask God to help you in your unbelief.” Mark 9:23-24
