Harm Not the Oil and Wine by Beverley D. Wright [REVIEW]

SYNOPSIS

If you’re a believer like Beverley D. Wright, then you want to learn how to weather life’s storms and strengthen your faith in God.

In Harm Not the Oil and Wine, Wright suggests that if you ask God for revelation, he is faithful to give it—and the more God reveals to you, the more thrilling it becomes to study his word. Her book will get you started! It covers a wide variety of informative biblical topics, from Genesis to Revelation:

◇ An introduction to the Creator and the revelation of Christ

◇ An explanation of the rise and fall of Israel, the judgment of Judah, and the restoration of the Jews to their homeland

◇ An explanation of the “chosen generation”

◇ Information about Satan’s war on the body of Christ

◇ What you need to know about God’s kingdom—both in heaven and on earth

◇ How you can be sheltered from trials and tribulations in the secret place of God, An overview of what the future holds: the day of the Lord, God’s provision during the judgment, Satan’s ultimate destruction, and the restoration of God’s people

If you are not satisfied with what the Church preaches about Hell and Eternity or struggle with accepting the mainstream theological interpretation of Revelation then this book is for you. It provides an alternate viewpoint to the Book of Revelation and gives insight into what the Bible says about Hell, the Great Tribulation, and Judgement Day.

If you’re eager to learn more about God’s plan and your place in it, and you want a deeper relationship with God then dive in—and watch your faith and your trust in the Lord increase in supernatural ways.

REVIEW

Over the last several years, I have gotten to know Beverley through the blogging community. I was intrigued by this book and how it came to be. But, if you know me at all, you will know that no matter how often I study prophecy, I still have a hard time figuring out what I’m supposed to glean from prophecy and what effect this knowledge should have on the way I live my life.

Through discussions with my sister-in-law (who loves prophecy) over the last few months, I realized it was time to read this book.

I enjoyed how Wright wove her personal challenges into the narrative of the lessons imparted to her from the Holy Spirit.
