Keep Calm & …

Ever since I read Overwhelmed…. on EagleSight earlier this month I have been thinking about the acronym C.A.L.M.

Christ
Always
Loves
Me

What images come to mind when you hear the word, calm?

Do you picture a preschool classroom in the moments before the energetic kiddos burst through the door?

Do you remember spending time in your prayer closet?

Do you envision a quiet walk in the woods or down a country road?

Now, add to that picture a loving savior who wants to have a deep and abiding relationship with you. Jesus Christ had loved you since before you were even born. It doesn’t get any better than that.

There is nothing that you or I can ever do that will diminish our Creator’s love for us. How absolutely amazing is that?

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 8:38-39 NIV

“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. – John 15:9 NIV

As we near the end of another month, it may be a good time to ponder whether or not you are as CALM as you should be?

Are you abiding in Christ?

Do you believe that Jesus loves you?

Do you love others as Christ loves you?

Would a stranger see Jesus in you?

I’ll leave you with this thought, Keep CALM and let Jesus do the rest!

  1. Thank you for your message on Calm. Yes, Christ always loves us, and it is helpful to have this reminder while I pack the car. We are setting off further inland to hunker down at my cousin’s house while Hurricane Ian passes. Have a blessed day, Barb.

  2. When fear rises up, I can be courageous because Christ Always Loves Me. When worries overtake, I can rest in the knowledge, Christ Always Loves Me. When uncertainty plagues me, I can rest in the knowledge that Christ Always Loves Me. There’s so much truth and strength in those four words for whatever we face. Thank you for this, Barb!

  3. Thank you Barbara…. I’m so encouraged reading this and I’ll never forget this acronym. Whenever I’m feeling overwhelmed, scared. I’ll always remember to be calm(Christ Always Loves Me). Even the Bible encourages us to stay calm, in quietness and rest you’ll find strength.
