There are few things that strike fear in preschool staff as an outbreak of some sort of illness. The three biggies are head lice, tummy trouble & the flu. Each comes with it’s own set of problems and cleaning instructions.
Once the diagnosis is made we play the, “did we catch it in time & I wonder how many more kids are going to catch it” game. This game has no winners or losers, just exhausted staff & cranky kids.
The moral of the story is, if you or your kids are sick, STAY HOME!
No one want’s your germs.
I never understood why parents send their kids to school sick. It’s common sense to keep them home! Not only do they need the rest to get better, but they’re spreading germs to others.

I agree, when people are sick they should stay home and keep the kids in too if at all possible.
