Part of my weight loss journey includes regular excercise. At my last appointment the doctor encouraged me to walk 30 minutes 4 or 5 days a week, or “do whatever works for you, but you need to develop a regular routine”.

Taking a walk outside when the humidity is high does nothing but zap energy at this point. So, yesterday I joined a gym & took my first water aerobics class. Based on only consuming 500 calories a day, I wasn’t sure how long I would last in the pool. But I was able to stick it out for the entire 45 minutes. It was AMAZING!
Did I mention that my BFF was already a member. So we now have a workout partner to kick us in hind-end when we want to slack on our workout.
Next session is Thursday…I am so excited!
That is great. You shall achieve what you desire.

Awesome Barb. Good to hear you have a friend to partner with in exercising. It makes a huge difference in not only the accountability factor but also the enjoyment factor.

Exciting! Your commitment is paying off. Having a workout partner makes quitting more difficult. ❤

Having routines can really help long-term! I’m really bad for not writing things down in my planner 🤭
P.S. My mom has the same name as you and everyone calls her Barb too!

I am a person who puts EVERYTHING on my digital calendar & to-do list. It may annoy my family sometimes but they are always glad when I can tell them when something occurred

I “was” using a traditional planner. I had a backup planner but lost that one, even though it was a better planner with a habit tracker. Never thought to go digital but I can see the appeal of trying that method 🙂 If I don’t write stuff down, it seems to take up a lot of mental space which drains me of so much energy. 😴
